This is a collaborative project with Michele Mekel, James Dillard, and Karen Kiefer-Boyd of Penn State University, University Park. Viral Imaginations: COVID-19 is a curated website collecting, displaying, and archiving creative responses to the pandemic by Pennsylvania citizens.
The purpose of this project is to use the curated archive of creative expressions of life during the pandemic to study people's responses to the experience. Thus the project provides an avenue for ordinary citizens to display their work, creates an online community of fellow artists and writers, and offers a research domain to study creative expression. It is both outreach and the collection of a corpus of materials to study.
